Regulator recordCurrent
Unlicensed retatrutide is being manufactured and sold illegally in the UK

The MHRA has taken three confirmed enforcement actions against unlicensed UK retatrutide/tirzepatide production or distribution: a Northampton production facility (24 Oct 2025), a second manufacturing site near Sleaford and Grantham (25 Feb 2026), and two arrests with roughly 12,000 doses recovered near Northampton (28 May 2026). The MHRA has separately named retatrutide directly in a national consumer safety campaign (24 Jul 2026).

UK implication: Confirmed, repeated MHRA enforcement action shows a real illicit UK market in unlicensed retatrutide/tirzepatide products.

Not established: These confirmed actions do not establish the total scale of the illicit market, and the MHRA itself notes there is no guarantee an unlicensed product actually contains the substance it is sold as.
